  I was involved in a motorcycle accident over 10 years ago. The accident was extremely debilitating as I endured numerous injuries resulting in many broken bones, multiple surgeries, extended rehabilitation time, as well as a brain injury. I was and still am deemed disabled. Since the accident, I have been left with significant pain. There was a point in my life where I was told by specialists that nothing more surgically could be done to help me manage my pain and that I would be struggling with chronic pain for the rest of my life. It was at this point that my GP referred me to Toronto Poly Clinic as I was taking so many narcotics. My pain doctor was Dr. Lakhani. Dr. Lakhani was compassionate, empathetic and understanding of my pain and concerns. He requisitioned his own set of tests and scans in order to better understand my injuries. He listened and took into consideration my own personal goals and created a treatment plan that helped me reduce my narcotic intake, manage my sleep better and improve mood. With his help and support, I have been able to live a happier and fulfilled life. If it wasn’t for Dr. Lakhani, I do not believe that I would be able to recover as much as I have, and adjust to a life where I can better control my pain. The staff at the clinic has been excellent and supportive. They’ve shown interest in my successes, no matter how small. It is almost like I had my own set of cheerleaders cheering me on. I am grateful for all the support that the clinic has provided me. I highly recommend the clinic.
